- 介紹：
- 警察文物館原址為創建於西元1900年之日據時期馬公水上警察官吏派出所，因年老失修曾一度舉報為拆建之官署建築，所幸在文化局的奔走下得以轉型為一處結合旅遊觀光與文化保存的殿堂。
- 日治時期的建築就是充滿巴洛克風與和式風格的混合，仔細比對一下，有沒有發現這棟建築和馬公老郵局有幾分相似之處呢！文物館展出200件頗具歷史價值的警察文物，從舊式警察制服、各式警察配件、手搖式警用電話、舊式總機、手搖式防空警報器、打字機、手動式印刷機、手持式輻射探測器、日警配刀、手銬、戶籍資料，幾乎彷彿走進了警政沿革的時光隧道一般。
- 警察文物館全館主要包括「視聽室」－提供旅遊資訊資料、諮詢提供、旅遊DVD播放，。「展示館」－展覽早期警察文獻、照片、警察制服、警用電話、警報器、手銬、腳銬、打字機..等各種警察歷史物品。
- 建議玩法：
- 遊客可以將警察文物館安排入市區古蹟旅遊的行程之一
- 夏日炎炎，遊客若想找個免費的遮陽吹冷氣又可增加文化知識的地方，警察文物館可以滿足大家的需求。
- 建築特色：
- 仔細比對下面兩張照片，這兩棟前後建造的日治時期官署辦公建築，均啟建於日本軍國主義氣焰最旺的二戰之前，當時日本軍國主義正在南洋不斷用兵，所以國政一切以軍事考量為前提，連建築文化也反應了這時期日本軍國主義氣焰之盛：馬公老郵局和馬公水上警察官吏派出所的正立面都是仿日本募府時期將軍的戰帽形樣，日本此時期的建築不斷地看見巴洛克的風貌，但是仍不忘融合傳統武士元素設計入官署建築，以張揚日本軍威！
