- 館舍介紹：
初次與澎湖開拓館相遇，相信會被它典雅的建築所吸引。澎湖開拓館原為日治時期澎湖廳長官舍與台灣光復後澎湖縣長的公館，屬於日本「大正-昭和」時期典型的「和洋混合式」建築。民國81年以後，因為建築老舊，而閒置不用。民國88年澎湖縣政府為有效利用歷史建築空間，依據澎湖縣長公館原始建築風格加以修復完成，重新規劃為澎湖開拓館。
全館佔地包括庭園與建築物，室內主要展示澎湖開拓的史料文物，在參觀時，除了藉由展示內容了解澎湖的開拓歷史，更可以留意每一個建築空間所呈現的典雅氣息。另外，在庭園的座椅上稍坐片刻，更可以感受澎湖風在身體週邊、在樹梢間流串的感覺。
該館除了館內靜態的陳列文物，更會不定期舉辦「系列歷史講座」、「庭園藝文欣賞」等動態活動，來加深參觀民眾了解澎湖的歷史。
