- 中社有位老人家會在古厝門口擺張小桌子販售文石小墜子，五光十色的文石眼墜子十分炫目，每個價格約150－200，雖不確定這些文石墜子的真偽，但是以這樣的價格購買，比起在馬公或台灣購買實在划算。
- 中社西方碼頭的海堤也是欣賞夕陽的理想地點。
- 夜晚如果不想騎車上黑壓壓的天台山觀賞星子，來中社碼頭的海堤邊也是一種選擇。
