澎湖目前有兩處縣立室內游泳池與兩處棒球壘球練習場，游泳池部分一處為市區文化局旁的文化園區運動場地，另外一處位於湖西鄉大城北村北空地，棒壘球練習場一處位於205縣道中山國小旁，另一處也是位在大城北游泳池南邊，夏季時不論是游泳池或棒球壘球練習場，大城北都不少當地人前來運動！
大城北游泳池即使冬季也提供溫水，因此仍持續有開放，然有時候上午會提供學生教學使用，所以板友要前去游泳時，上午時段可以跟縣府教育局確認是否開放一般民眾
夏天從馬公騎腳踏車到大城北游泳後，再騎車回市區，是滿好的健身運動
