- 青螺的紅樹林其實算是人工培植，早期種有成片的海茄冬，後來因為漁塭業者進駐，海茄冬林遭到大量砍伐，加上漁塭破壞了原有的生態，紅樹林漸漸消失；後期因為漁塭病變，許多漁塭開始廢棄，只留下原有的濕地景觀，於是林務單位開始種植海茄苳、紅海欖、水筆仔等，進行復育。目前復育工作已有不錯的成效，紅樹林生長茂密，並可常見鷸珩科、鷺科等鳥類及凶狠圓軸蟹、招潮蟹，生態豐富，有關單位已經興進了賞鳥涼亭及木棧道，未來可望發展成一個完整的生態教育園區。
