- 名稱：雞善嶼
- 簡介：
位於湖西鄉北寮村東北方約 4公里的海上，本島原為一熔岩台地，由於激烈的海蝕作用而分割成大、小二島（退潮時可相連）。兩島均為玄武岩的方山台地，高約20公尺，四周海崖圍繞。大雞善嶼周圍有海蝕溝、海蝕洞數處；小雞善嶼四周均為筆直的柱狀玄武岩，岩狀節理清晰，成長短高低緊密排列，形似「管風琴」。十分雄偉壯觀。本嶼每年夏季常見各種鷗科候鳥在島上棲息、繁殖，為玄武岩雄壯的景觀增添幾抹絢爛的色彩。由於本島柱狀玄武岩景色秀麗，目前以公告為玄武岩自然保留區。
