- 花菜干是澎湖傳統一道飲食料理,將花菜曬乾脫水後保存,於冬季或鮮食缺乏時期可以取出做菜,佐以蔥蒜跟肉絲火炒就是一道鄉土味很濃厚的菜餚。花菜干餐廳以此命名,可想而知這間餐廳必定饒富澎湖傳統風味。
- 陳老闆有點不善於言詞,招呼起客人有點緬腆,和這間古厝改建的餐廳還真有點搭調。花菜干是以澎湖傳統古厝重新打造成特色餐廳,雖然不是傳統一落四櫸頭的澎湖古厝形制,但是餐廳內的空間和一落四櫸頭的正廳內部形制差不多,正廳左右各有相對稱的小房間(獨立用餐空間),屋外則是老古石的庭院圍牆,極為古樸,老闆巧心裝潢日據末年前後的澎湖家庭使用器物,不定時蒐購改建的一些古厝建材跟器物,儼然是一間小型澎湖傳統生活的器物展覽館。就連用餐的器皿,坐的桌椅也都是幾十年前的碗盤桌椅。

- 所謂的石舉就是章魚的一種,捕撈後曬成乾,塊和排骨、大蒜、豆乾一起下鍋煮湯,湯頭夾著濃郁的石舉甜和排骨肉香,加上大蒜去除部分石舉的腥味,讓這一道湯即使拿來拌飯都很美味!
