| - | 將軍澳嶼，澎湖縣望安鄉的一個小離島，面積不大，約兩平方公里左右。大約只有七美的1/3，但這邊卻是整個望安人口最多的社區。望安共有水垵、東垵、中社、將軍、東吉、花嶼、西坪、東坪八個村。其中光是將軍一個村的人口，就幾乎是其他七個村的總合，佔了整個望安人口約一半。這是個相當特殊的現象，因為，早年將軍人是相當拼的。澎湖最早使用動力舢板的地區：將軍。最早使用動力船隻補土魠的地區：將軍。生產最優質文石的地區：將軍。最早撈珊瑚的地區：將軍。因此在六七零年代將軍繁華異常，人稱小香港，小小的將軍島最盛時期有大約八千人居住，將軍也是澎湖少數在早年就開始建樓房的地區。因此在將軍兩樓、三樓、四樓的樓房一大堆，直到現在將軍人仍在整個望安擁有政治上的操縱權，鄉長、議員都是將軍人。不過這二十年來魚源枯竭，整個將軍的人口也大量外移，將軍目前實際居住人數約在800~1000人上下，大部分是老人，連小孩都不是很多。由於將軍沒落了，又加上交通的不便，因此目前將軍有著在澎湖來講還相當不錯的生態。不過可惜的是當地人的環境意識並不佳，在海邊倒垃圾燒廢棄物的人仍然存在，如果大家能有共識保護這片海洋，將軍澳嶼有著澎湖諸多離島中極佳的觀光資源存在。 | ||
