- 介紹：
- 澎湖開拓館為日本昭和時期產物，與澎湖縣政府為同一時期建造之官署建築，距今九十年歷史，早期做為日本澎湖廳長官宿舍，國民政府時期則延續做為澎湖縣縣長官邸，至民國81年主體建築已經十分老舊，澎湖縣政府於是進行活化規劃與維修，將之轉換為澎湖歷史展示空間，成為民眾與遊客認識澎湖歷史及休憩的公共空間。
- 澎湖開拓館為典型和洋混合式的建築工法，如募府將軍帽的斜頂，充滿日式風的拉門，巴洛克風的窗子，深具異國情調。內部展示包括澎湖聚落介紹、先民古物展覽、媽宮古城介紹、澎湖歷史重要戰役介紹、澎湖歷史書冊典藏等等。除了透過實物展示外，亦以現代設備的多媒體聲光效果呈現，揉合傳統與現代。
- 澎湖開拓館庭院鋪設碎石紅磚，栽植草木，擺設黑架鏡面的桌椅提供遊客與現民散步或休息。並有一小室展出澎湖古童玩，帶領民眾回到童年記憶，搖想澎湖當年。
- 板友注意事項：
- 入館內必須脫鞋唷
- 館內嚴禁大聲吵鬧
- 館內冷氣滿強的，很適合夏季旅遊時，中午到此參觀順道避暑
- 館內有一塌塌米的放映室很適合躺下來好好睡個午覺
- 館旁的造景花園是不錯謀殺記憶卡的照相取景地點
