石獅嗎？石貓嗎？河馬嗎？天啊！你到底像什麼- 每次來到石獅風景區都會聽到這樣的爭論，獅子嗎？怎麼像石貓？不對不對！是石虎啦！ㄟ，我覺得是狐狸耶。一塊風化的玄武岩透過美的聯想作用界定為石獅，就無法避免觀者透過美的視覺做更誇張的聯想。
- 但是冬日在凜冽的季風吹拂下來到石獅，滄勁的海水、灰濛的天際，無垠大海之下還真感覺到一隻蹲坐在海角的石獅，或是沈默、或是悲傷、或是帶點鬱鬱的寡歡。石獅和雙心石滬目前是七美能見度最高的兩處景點。

- 在七美的觀光景點中，石獅風景區也是一個具有指標性的景點，通常都是會停留的，不過這同時也是七美的景點中最難接近的，因為它位在底下，而且沒有任何樓梯或是道路可以到達下面，所以只能遠觀不易靠近。
- 我個人到過台灣蠻多地方的，台灣人的想像力實在很強，到處都有XX岩之類的景點，其中當然以女王頭最具代表也實在是么壽像的，完全不需想像力也能看得出來。可是像是墾丁的青蛙石、船帆石、綠島的睡美人哈巴狗，說真的需要一點想像力。同樣的來到七美也有一堆XX岩，不過個人覺得只需發揮一絲絲想像力就能了解了，還蠻像的，這個石獅就是其中一。
- 另外七美以石獅海域的水色最美，有時候藍有時候綠，藍的時候像是藍寶石一樣,，綠的時候不輸給翡翠。
